Instructions
Ingredients
Snickerdoodle Cookie Topping
- 1 pouch (17.5 ounces) sugar cookie mix
- half of cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1 big egg
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon floor cinnamon
Apples
- 10 cups thinly sliced (or chopped small) Granny Smith apples peeled & cored
- half of cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice clean or bottled
- 1 teaspoon floor cinnamon
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375° and spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. Set apart.
- PREPARE THE SNICKERDOODLE COOKIE DOUGH - Combine the snickerdoodle cookie mix, softened butter, and egg right into a mixing bowl. Use a timber spoon or handheld mixer (I found this to be the very best) and mix until a smooth, incredibly crumbly dough forms. Set apart.
- In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Stir to mix all of it collectively. Set apart.
- PREPARE THE APPLES- Peel & center the granny smith apples and then reduce into skinny slices or small chunks. It's easiest to use an apple peeler to try this. I peel the pores and skin off first (with a veggie peeler) after which use an apple slicer to reduce it. I then cut every slice into smaller, thinner apple slices.
- Add the peeled and sliced apples into a huge bowl. Add the sugar, flour, lemon, juice, and cinnamon. Stir to coat the apples. Pour the apples into the organized baking dish and spread out frivolously, lightly pressing them down into the pan.
- Take a handful of cookie dough and press it between your hands to form a flat form. Lay the cookie dough over the apples, hold with the rest of the cookie dough seeking to ensure it covers the apple layer. Like a crust.
- Bake for 35-forty minutes. If wanted, loosely lay a piece of tin foil over the dish inside the ultimate 15 mins of the cook dinner time to save you the cookie topping from browning an excessive amount of.
- Serve heat with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. A caramel drizzle over top is yummy too!
